More about OPC - Welcome, Worship, Grow

Our congregation is young to old. We are from many different denominations. We are red and blue and everything in between. We are believers, doubters, skeptics, and wonderers. All are welcome here.

Listed below are some great ways to learn more about this congregation that make us special, unique, and important in Oconee County, Georgia.

  • CARE through prayer, bearing one another's burdens, and forgiving
  • MISSION to those in need, near and far, with our time and resources
  • STEWARDSHIP of all that we have and are to bring God glory

OPC Campus

Sanctuary

Our main building was built and opened in 2004. It is a two-story, multi-purpose facility, with Sanctuary, offices, kitchen, classrooms, music suite, and gathering spaces. Our sanctuary can seat 300 guests, plus worship leaders, choir, and musicians on the raised chancel (stage area).

Playground

Behind the Sanctuary and down the hill is our Children’s Playground.  We expanded this playground in 2015 in honor of our Rev. Sue Jacobson, our longtime Director of Education, upon her retirement from that post. The playground is open to any and all families, visitors, and guests from sunrise to sunset.

Pavilion

Our open air is a wonderful place for an outdoor meal.  We have a small kitchen and tables to seat about 160. The two restrooms serve as well as the lower ball field.

Ball Field

This Softball/Baseball field has dugouts, stands, fences, and lights. The local Oconee Tigers and the Oconee High School Varsity and Junior Varsity baseball teams often use this field for games or practices.

Side Field

The congregation also owns the field space to the west of the sanctuary. This graded grassy area is home to the OPC garden.
