About OPC Middle & High School Youth Group: Youth Group is the name we give to the Sunday evening meetings of our 6th-12th graders and their friends. The youth and their adult volunteer leaders typically meet from 6PM-7:30 PM at OPC and enjoy fellowship, snacks (light sandwiches, chips, fruit, etc.) and a Bible study or devotional relative to their everyday lives. They end the evening with praise music led by many of the youth with guitars.
The new structure and timing of Youth Group is based on extensive discussions with the youth to help continually evolve and grow our program into an effective ministry - one that the youth have a vested and important ownership interest in.
The youth also participate in retreats, mission projects, special events, worship leadership and other activities to build on their relationships with each other and with God. Our base curriculum this year is “Re:form” which has been well received by youth and advisors.
The youth table (near the back entrance) has calendars, pictures and other information for all church members & visitors. If any parent, member or visitor has any questions or wants to know more about youth ministry here at OPC, they are welcome to contact Pete Griffin.

Northeast Georgia Presbytery Week at Camp Buc is June 25th - 29th; & we are encouraging our OPC 6th & 7th graders(completed) to register for this week, so they will be there the same time as others from our Presbytery, ie youth they meet at Rock Eagle Camps... Also, our own, Miss Sue will be there this week as the Chaplain:)! To register, go to www.campbuc.org & click on the registration tab; then to register online you click on the compass picture that says click here to register. This takes you to a secure site. Otherwise, you can cllick to download a printable form & mail in. B3: Buc Week 3 - June 24 is our Session; & *Explorers is the program. Full payment is due by June 8th. We are excited to let you know that OPC will be paying $165 of the cost per youth~thanks to our successful fundraiser!!! So your total cost is $375. If you pay the $150 deposit now, $225 will be due by June 8th. Or, of course, you can pay the total $375 now. ***Explorers, 5 nights - The Explorers meet middle school children as they begin to test themselves individually and in community. Multiple days camping take their skills to a higher level as they learn to live in the outdoors with a group of friends. High ropes, whitewater paddling on the Nantahala, and horseback riding make this camp memorable. Christian Stewardship of the land, “no trace” camping and learning to work as a team in a new setting are all themes that help campers practice sensitivity, responsibility, empathy and positive self esteem.
