Book Studies and DVD Studies:
· A Study of The New Testament: Lectures on DVD of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John by Dr. Bart Ehrman, a leading authority on the life of Jesus & a James A. Gray Prof. of Religious Studies at UNC Chapel Hill. Facilitator: Herb Meyer Time and Place: 7:00 pm Mondays at Van Schoick’s home.
· The Exodus in the Context of Ancient Egyptian History aka, “A man walks into a bar…” Facilitator: John Gregg Time and Place: Beginning March 1 and going for four consecutive Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. Room 1 @ OPC.
Small Group Activities for Adults and Families:
· Fun for Families: Families gather to cook, play games, bowl, hike, watch movies - or anything else decided upon by participants. Facilitator: A different family will facilitate each activity. Jennifer Sims will facilitate sign up and initial gathering.
· Let’s Build a Labyrinth—Phase 1: Plan and begin building a Prayer Labyrinth on the OPC campus. Facilitator: Staff Time and Place: Weekend (specific day TBA) @ OPC
· Photography Interest Group: Share photos, ideas, and tips at this round-table discussion group. Facilitators: Sally Ross and Marshal Jacobson Time: TBA
· Service Projects: Bring the family to perform a variety of hands-on service projects. Facilitators: Laura Moore and Robyn Nunan Time and Place: 5:00 Wed. evenings before dinner at OPC
· Eat, Pray, Love, Walk: Meet at Botanical Gardens and walk with OPC friends. Facilitator: Sue Jacobson Time: Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
· Guy Group: OPC men will meet to eat, socialize, watch games, etc. Their first task will be to find a better name for this group. Facilitator: Jerry NeSmith & Billy Skinner Time and place(s): TBA
· Neglectful Gardening: Share ideas about relaxed gardening and the wonders of nature. Facilitator: Lisa Douglas Time and Place: Thurs. Mar. 1 and 10 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.; Sat. Mar 10 and 24 from 9-10:30 a.m. All meet at Douglas farm.
· OPC Exercise at Curves: Tuesdays at 11:00 (for 6 weeks beginning Feb. 28) is a time for OPC ladies to exercise together at Curves. Facilitator: Melanie Broadrick
